Article: Why I left fashion and luxury to create a second-skin wardrobe

Pourquoi j’ai quitte le luxe. Et si le vetement avait oublie sa mission premiere ?

Why I left fashion and luxury to create a second-skin wardrobe

What if we forgot the essential?

In fashion, we are pushed to create, to always go faster, to find the cut, the color, the trend of tomorrow.
Create to seduce. Create to stand out. Create to produce again.

For over ten years, I was a stylist in luxury houses in Paris.
I learned to draw the right lines, to anticipate desires, to create silhouettes.
But over time, a question grew inside me.
Why do we create? For whom? And at what cost?

One day it became clear:
We have forgotten that what we are creating is a garment.

An everyday object.
An intimate object.
An object that touches the body, the skin, the being.

We have forgotten that clothing is a bodily envelope .
That it has the power to support or to injure, to soothe or to assault, to elevate or to intoxicate.

This realization came to me when my body became that of a mother.
When I first breastfed my daughter, her bare skin met mine—and my synthetic-fiber underwear revealed its incongruity.
At that moment, I understood.
Clothing is care. Or it shouldn't be.

It was on this day that PRESTESSE was born.

An answer.
A commitment.
A return to basics.

PRESTESSE is a second-skin wardrobe.
Designed to accompany the body, without constraining it.
To enhance, without disguising.
To breathe with him, not against him.

Here, no plastic on the skin. No compressive cuts.
Just natural, innovative materials, carefully chosen.
A touch, a sensation, a vibration.

Because I am convinced that the day we become fully aware of the impact of our clothes on our bodies,
fashion will have to change direction.

And PRESTESSE will be there to trace this new path.
With you.
